Recently I celebrated my daughter's 20th birthday and it got me thinking about how we wait all year to have the focus on us and in some cases make promises of change for the upcoming year. Why don't we see each day as a birthday and an opportunity to give life to a long held passion or dream? Is it that we are waiting for someone's permission to celebrate ourselves? It is not selfish or conceited to know what you want and to put a plan in place to have those dreams realized. It is a confident person that is able to stay true to themselves while using discernment and wisdom to know the difference between encouragement and criticism from others. Sometimes the road to where you want to be is a long and lonely road but you can not get discouraged and give up when it becomes a little bumpy. We forget that it's not just about us, there are many parts to put into place for our dreams to come to fruition. I challenge you to begin viewing set-backs as a delay, an opportunity to learn all you can in preparation to walk boldly into your destiny.
Yesterday is done all we have is right now. Let's forgive ourselves for what we think we did wrong and instead look forward to the possibilities of what can be.
